Our next and the first 2014 Flourishing Health Workshop is on the topic of SLEEP!
＊＊＊ALL PROCEEDS GO TO SUPPORT THE WORK OF FOOD SHARE!＊＊＊
Sleep is fundamental for our well-being. It is often one of the first things to go when people feel pressed for time and even many view sleep as luxury. In fact, one in seven Canadian (and one in five Japanese) has insomnia and feeling not having a quality or sufficient sleep. This is also not only a matter of sleep itself, but often related to chronic diseases such as asthma, arthritis, diabetes, depression and anxiety as well as age, gender, marital status, and children’s presence. Interestingly, some people sleep much less and actually feel great, for example, yogis and meditators. Moreover, our body, mind and even spirit are doing a lot behind our consciousness while we are sleeping. Isn’t it very fascinating?
