“Medicine is a benevolent art.” ~Japanese Proverb
A traditional approach to healing in Asia originateswith a belief in benevolence. The heart of the medicine is a practice of compassion with thoughtfulness and consideration for others’ happiness. It also focuses on the fundamental rationality and purposefulness of our minds, bodies, and souls. To be purposeful is to be self-healing, which is common concept to all major traditions of the East. They are culturally formed based on indigenous knowledge and skills to maintain health as well as to prevent or treat illnesses. Particularly, components of Asian traditional healing provide both emotional and practical support for the enhancement of harmony with nature, family and society, new learning opportunity, pleasant aesthetic experience, and the sense of mastery or self-efficacy. Combining my Japanese heritage with my training in traditional Chinese medicine/acupuncture, Ayurvedic medicine, Mindfulness and Reiki, I integrate the essence of Asian traditional healing into holistic health care for you. Acupuncture is also effectively applied for musculoskeletal injuries and facial cosmetic rejuvenation.
